Another Mystery Solved ...
20th December 2023
It’s not just a one way street – sometimes our clients help us to learn new things too.
Last week we were surprised to learn that a gas lift chair was responsible for turning off a clients monitor! We have never come across it before but it seems that it is a genuine thing. The science behind it is this: when you stand up or sit down, your gas lift chair can generate an EMI spike which is picked up by electrical cables, causing a loss of sync. This could also be the cause of a flickering screen but the situation is easily solved by changing your chair, or your cables, or maybe even changing your clothes to less synthetic fabrics, or using anti-static spray on your upholstery would be sufficient. I promise you, this is not an April Fools ..
We’d love to hear of any other surprising situations like this.
